RGA Technician

Reporting to the Product Support Manager, this position is responsible for performing multiple duties within the cell unit. These duties include: assembling, testing, grinding studs, providing feedback for product evaluations and reports, and field service.

As an RGA Technician you will:

  • Efficient use of hand tools and a good mechanical aptitude and ability. Operate the forklift, overhead or boom cranes as needed.
  • Accurately processes all required paperwork and reporting functions as per ISO documentation.
  • Provide assistance to the manufacturing cells on RGA-related issues. Provide feedback to the Engineering department on encountered product problems.
  • Testing function:
  • Tests for dew points in switch.
  • Performs test, utilizing the Biddle Tester, to ensure all the hardware is tightened and properly affixed.
  • Tests the electrical integrity of the switch using the High-Pot Tester.
  • Tests for leakage.
  • Performs the electronics function testing.
  • Performs tests of all mechanisms.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Efficient use of hand and power tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25-50% of the time with international travel being a possibility

The Physical Demands of the Job Are:

Lifting Demands:

  • Lift up to 75 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to waist.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to chest.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to shoulder.
  • Carry up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 25 feet.

Postural Demands:

  • Sitting – frequent
  • Standing – occasional
  • Walking – occasional
  • Bending/stooping – occasion
  • Squatting/kneeling – occasion

Miscellaneous Demands:

  • Gripping, manipulation, fingering – frequent
  • Variable hand/power tool use – frequent

What we offer you:

Typical pay is $41,082 – 52,000 annually.
