Internship Experience

G&W Electric’s Internship Program gives students the opportunity to gain practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience while working for a global organization and industry leader. Interns are challenged to demonstrate their strengths and apply their knowledge to help us achieve our business strategy. Our goal is that students will take what they’ve learned and apply it to their future career, perhaps a long prosperous career with G&W Electric.

Whether you’re exploring internships for the first time or looking to build on prior experience, our program is designed to help you contribute from day one. Undergraduate and graduate students alike are accepted into roles where they take ownership of a valuable assignment, work alongside experienced employees, and develop skills that translate directly to a professional career.

G&W Electric offers internship opportunities for college students across a variety of departments, including Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Environmental Health & Safety. Interns work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to projects that support G&W Electric’s business and customers.  Each position is built around real business needs, giving interns the chance to contribute to meaningful projects alongside a dedicated manager and team.

Internships at G&W Electric are paid positions, and some roles may also qualify for academic credit depending on your university’s requirements. If you’re ready to explore current openings, see the link below to view and apply for roles that match your interests and qualifications.

  • Competitive pay
  • Independent and collaborative projects
  • Social activities and team-building events

  • Opportunities to build relationships for future career opportunities

Our internship program gives you resources that extend well beyond your day-to-day work. You’ll have access to mentors, managers, and leaders who are all invested in your skill development and can answer your questions along the way.

Our paid internships ensure you’re compensated with a competitive salary for your time and impact. Compensation is based on the number of years that you have completed toward your undergraduate/graduate degree or PhD. Housing is also available if needed.

Paid internships at G&W Electric reflect our belief that students should be fairly compensated for meaningful work. If you have questions about compensation, housing, or academic credit, our team is happy to answer them.
