Mechatronics Engineering Specialist
Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the Mechatronics Engineer will perform switchgear commissioning at the factory and design custom switchgear solutions to match customer specifications.
As a Mechatronics Engineering Specialist you will:
- Perform factory commissioning of switchgears as per the electrical engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- Program relays and controllers, and test systems as required for projects.
- Review and understand design requirements of customized medium voltage switchgears.
- Design and modify the layout and package of the subassemblies to meet the design requirement
- Detail and draft new parts required for new designs.
- Prepare mechanical drawings with dimensions, tolerance and bill of material
- Participate in tooling and fixture design as needed.
- Plan and complete defined design work per schedule.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
We are looking for someone who:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering
- 1-2 years’ experience in automation design, programming and testing.
- 3D CAD modelling experience (Creo preferred)
- Logic control systems
- Possesses computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Is familiar with CAD softwares like Solidworks, Creo and AutoCAD
- Has worked with ERP systems like JD Edwards and SAP
- Is detail oriented.
- Has good communication skills
- Is a quick learner with multitasking abilities
What we offer you:
Typical pay is $59,000.00 – $81,000.00 annually.
Please note the pay information shown above is a general guideline. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
