G&W Electric is proud to announce the expansion of its G&W Altea facility in Ferrara, Italy, the home of our sensor manufacturing. The new space marks a significant investment in the future of our sensor business and reflects our commitment to meeting growing customer demand around the world.
The expansion adds two new buildings, located just steps from the current G&W Altea facility. Together, they more than double our footprint in Ferrara and create dedicated space for production, warehousing, office teams, and — for the first time — research and development.
Built for Growth
Demand for our sensors continues to rise, and our customers are looking for more capacity and faster delivery. This expansion was designed to meet that need. Highlights include:
- More than double the workforce capacity, growing from 30 workplaces to 70
- Nearly double the production space, increasing from 670 m² to 1,140 m²
- A new 750 m² warehouse dedicated to storage and logistics
- Expanded office space for operations teams, growing from 10 to 25 workstations
- A dedicated R&D space of 1,160 m², giving our engineers room to innovate
More Than a Bigger Space
The addition of a dedicated research and development space is a milestone for Ferrara. It signals that G&W Altea is not only a place where our sensors are built, but a place where the next generation of them will be designed. For our customers, that means greater capacity, faster service, and continued innovation as the market grows.
