Trade Show & Events Lead

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Global Marketing Communications Manager, this person will primarily be responsible for planning and executing 40+ industry events and trade shows annually. We’re looking for an experienced professional to own this function from start to finish, working internally to coordinate logistics, communication, staffing and vendor needs.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end project management and execution of various global, national and regional conferences and tradeshows including logistics, staff management, booth production, budget tracking, communications and marketing campaigns.
- Develop and maintain full-scale, detailed project plans to be used in tracking key project milestones and deliverables.
- Own communications with event stakeholders such as product management and sales.
- Report on the success of events, including full post-event reports on key metrics such as leads, internal feedback, marketing success and future enhancements.
- Be an ambassador of the G&W Electric brand to effectively communicate it to target audiences through all event deliverables and brand presence.
- Develop a thoughtful and creative approach to G&W Electric’s on-site presence, by targeting unique audience needs and enhancing our presence year over year.
- Expand the reach of tradeshow sponsorships with multi-tactic marketing campaigns including pre-event promotion, on-site thought leadership and post-event nurture campaigns.
- Run programs efficiently and on-budget, often running multiple events consecutively.
- Manage global inventory and upkeep of demonstration products.
- Develop and manage annual sales meetings, customer events, and on-site customer visits including logistics, planning, on-site execution, budget management and evaluation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in B2B marketing, events and tradeshows as an exhibitor
- 7-10 years’ experience in planning and managing tradeshows and events
- Knowledge and experience in owning the intricate details needed to make a tradeshow successful, including booth design, expo order submissions, budgeting, staffing, and lead generation
- Experience owning tradeshow programs above and beyond the execution of logistics – to include digital advertising, lead follow-up, sales enablement, marketing email campaigns, speaking opportunities and project management
- Proven track record of building successful cross-functional partnerships with product management, creative, and sales teams to craft programs that are on-brand and metrics-driven in their approach
- Ability to gain an understanding of the business quickly.
