Position Summary:
Reporting to the Shift Team Lead, this position is responsible for Blasting and Finishing Bottles in the Epox Department in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the bottle blast area and PPE (personal protective equipment) on a daily basis
- Prepare parts for blast operation according to work instructions and department procedures
- Set up and operate a variety of machines and hand tools to prepare molded parts for paint
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Monitor the condition of the equipment and tooling
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Keep tools and equipment operational by completing routine preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Perform finishing and cleaning work on molded products
- Dispose of hazardous chemicals properly
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of finishing tasks as needed
- Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development required
- 0-1 year of prior experience working in a manufacturing environment required
- Must be able to safety use small hand and power tools
- Must be able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Materials
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to troubleshoot routine equipment problems

- Light Lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less)

- Squatting/kneeling – continuous

- Sitting – occasional
- Lift up to 35 lbs. on a frequent basis at floor to waist
- Carry up to 35 lbs on an occasional basis up to 25 feet
- Griping, manipulation, fingering – frequent to continuous
- Variable hand/power tool use – frequent
***This job requires respirator use and to ensure proper fitting individuals must be be clean shaven***
