Intern – Molding Technologies, Continuous Improvement – Summer 2024

Position Summary: Reporting to the Continuous Improvement team this position will work to improve fixturing, ergonomics and throughput in various cells through CI activities.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new fixtures for process enhancements

  • Optimize and improve current fixtures and processes

  • Improve current design of Solid die components as opportunity presents

  • Participate in daily management activities for improving passing rates and other data analysis projects

  • Participate in problem solving activities using Six Sigma methodology including 5-why, 8-steps problem solving & other tools

  • Implementing & improving the data collection systems e.g. JDE.

  • Participate in production level continuous improvement events

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited university

  • Mechanical Engineering major

  • Experience with 3D Modeling, specifically Creo is a plus
