Intern – Molding Technologies, Continuous Improvement – Summer 2024

Position Summary: Reporting to the Continuous Improvement team this position will work to improve process throughput, organization, and ergonomics in various cells through CI activities.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities:

• Participate in daily management activities for improving passing rates and other data analysis projects

• Participate in problem solving activites, driving improvements in the department using the Six Sigma methodology and tools including 5-why, 8-steps problem solving & others

• Identify areas that need improved data collection methods and work with appropriate teams to implement (e.g. JDE, MES).

• Participate in production level continuous improvement events

• Evaluate, optimize and improve current processes through lean methodologies

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited university

• Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering major with Continuous Improvement interest

• AutoCAD and layout updates is a plus
